Using a Stock Abutment

Many Dentists have negative opinions about Stock Abutments.

Here i point out few advantages why one would use a Stock Abutment based on my personal experience:

1) For the ITI system, the fact that there is no hole through the abutment makes it much stronger and even it appears thinner, much more fracture resistant than any 2 piece abutments.

2) There is an economic advantage to Stock Abutments, both in component pricing and also laboratory complexity. They are time efficient and easier for the Dental assistants too.
