The world’s Top 10 Spammers!
Dr. Smile 21 August, 2008
(2) Comment The world’s top 10 spamming countries account for 55 per cent of the total global spam volume, says Secure Computing, a public company that provides enterprise security solution, in its Internet Threats Report.
Spam is the unwanted e-mail messages that you find in your mail box. It is primarily electronic junk mail sent to your e-mail account or even your cellphone.
Spammers are continuing to use pop culture and current events (US elections, Olympics, etc) to entice end users into responding or clicking on links whose sole purpose is to download malware.
The Secure Research report says that there was a 45 per cent increase in the average number of porn sites found daily since January 2008.
50 pre cent of all Web sites’ content is now in non-English languages, and this too is adding to the growing spam volume.

Beijing Olympics Ready to Get Start!
Dr. Smile 2 August, 2008
(4) Comment Finally, the much sought upon Beijing Olympics 2008 is here and ready to kick start on Aug 08. The Chinese has put a tremendous amount of effort into putting on great Games for the athletes, pumping in a total of about $40 billion to stage the Games and everybody is eager to see the Games succeed in tapping into one fifth of the world’s population.
Although the Beijing Games have been hit by protests and controversy regarding China’s policies on Tibet and the Darfur region of Sudan as well as the country’s human rights record and pollution concerns, this did not reflect upon the spirit of the games. Unlike run-ups to recent Olympics, Beijing’s preparations for August have kept to plan, and some stadiums and infrastructure have even been completed ahead of schedule. All is now ready to go.
Take a look at the schedule which was made public today:

Olympics and the Islamic Connection!
Dr. Smile 3 April, 2008
(2) Comment Islam had been under the beat of corrupt politicians and the so called leaders of super
power nations from decades, plunging into one controversy to another, yet withstanding bravely due to its moral and dedicated teachings of our Prophet (PBUH). This time its circled between the famous bollywood personality Aamir Khan and Beijing Olympics. I recently stumbled upon a letter addressed to Aamir Khan by B Raman on Rediff.com
Aamir Khan, one among the 6 Olympic torch bearers from India had been getting tons of requests worldwide not to carry the Olympic torch due to the Chinese aggression and immoral attitude towards the fellow Tibetans. Aamir has given exceptional replies on his blog towards this issue, here’s an excerpt:
Over the last few days I have received several requests not to participate in the Olympic Torch Relay. Requests through members of my family, personal friends, people who are associated with the Tibetan struggle, and my blog. I have gone through and read each and every letter, message and post pertaining to this issue.

New Hyderabad Airport Starts Operations
Dr. Smile 23 March, 2008
(4) Comment
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad has started functioning. We need to keep pace with International standards in our airports. The newly built Beijing Airport is a role model for every country to emulate. The newly built Beijing Airport is the latest wonder in airports in the world. What is astonishing is that this marvel has been built in the world’s most populated developing country! Almost 50,000 workers toiled round the clock in 8-hour shifts and built the colossal $3.75-billion terminal in only four years. China wanted the airport to be ready before August 8, when the Beijing Olympic Games begin. The new terminal will have a capacity of 75 million passengers a year. It features an extremely high-tech passenger baggage system — on 50 km of conveyor belts — that can handle 19,800 bags per hour. The size of the new Beijing airport can be gauged from the fact that it boasts of 64 restaurants, 80 retail stores, 175 escalators, 173 lifts, 437 revelators or moving footpaths, and 300 check-in counters.. The airport’s runway is capable of handling the world’s largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A380. The airport building has integrated environmental control systems to minimise energy consumption and carbon emissions
