Hard Luck PR Update!
Dr. Teeth 30 April, 2008 Well, there’s not so good news at the front; had a server breach with many of my sites defaced by a Chinese hacker, then the PR update with few downgrades resulting in more anxiety and trauma.
A Chinese hacker managed to sneak in to one of my hostgator accounts through ftp injecting javascript malicious codes on all the files hosted, many of my blogs and directories were defaced although Hostgator provided me instant support blocking those IP’s and in cleaning up the malicious codes. I now have a huge task ahead to update the files and the scripts. Wish i had a magic wand to take care of all these things.
About the PR update, Google hasn’t been too impressed by DentalBlogging i feel giving it no PR in this update, i am confused of what and where did i left behind. Few of my other sites and directories were effected but to my surprise many of the parked domains received PR2.
Here are the stats:
Dentocafe Forum PR4 —> PR3
Islamic Directory PR2 —> PR3
Wordpress Themes PR1 —> PR3
Linkocafe Directory PR3 —> PR1
UrlZ Directory PR0 —> PR2
Includes Directory PR0 —> PR2
Mi2 Directory PR0 —> PR2
Dr. Web Directory PR0 —> PR2
WebMed Directory PR0 —> PR1
I would love to hear about how the PR update happened with you this time. Also you can check out my sites and suggest me how to monetize it to fare better the next update.

The nicest compliment that you can give me is to to subscribe to the Dental Blogging Newsletter. Thanks for visiting!

I got a PR3 for my blog
A few sites of yours got some PR from 0, so not bad overall!
hmmm, was expecting something for the blog and an increase in the forum too!
Nevermind, there’s always next time!
I am very optimistic you know
bah It is not that big of a deal. Keep focusing on the quality of your blog and there shouldn’t be a problem. Good to see Islamic Directory got a PR Increase.
Thanks Syed bhai!
I always try to learn but you know, we always tend to run behind what others give importance to; just like PR.
And as i always suggest, until you are getting quality traffic from Google, PR is not an issue to worry about at all
Overall I think you did quite well with the most recent PR update. Have you noticed increased traffic or simply a rise in PR? Personally, I’m more concerned with my traffic levels than PR since I don’t buy or sell links. In any event, I think if you keep pumping out quality, unique content, Google will show some love sooner or later!
