Health Care Abroad: Germany - Prescriptions Blog - NYTimes.com
Medical care here has been superb. Every dentist I have been to is high-tech beyond belief (the latest in xray technology,etc.) and my Fiance just had two root canals on his Wisdom teeth (really, where do you get this stuff?) … For example, for a new back problem, I saw my orthopaedic surgeon yesterday at 9am, and had the MRI at 11am.

The procedure was carried out on Shailesh Devi, who lives in Gurgaon and was admitted to the Artemis Health Institute with chest pain and breathlessness along with palpitation induced by exertion. The surgery which involved “aortic valve replacement, aortic arch grafting, artery reconstruction and patient revival” was performed by a team of doctors led by the Artemis chief executive officer and chief cardiothoracic surgeon , Kushagra Katariya, on August 10.

I know with my health insurance company, I’m lucky that the local private hospital, is one of their affiliated ones, so with my last day procedure (last year) the room/hospital stay was actually only $240. … my daughter had day surgery and it was $2500 but we didnt pay any of it apparently they bill internally between the hospital and your private medical , we also were out $1450 for the dental surgeon (but we knew that beforehand) and $200 extra for the anaesthetist
