Contest extended for 24 hours…

I was very disappointed when my sites were hacked last night, just a month back my host and i were successful in stopping the breach my a Turkish hacker and this time it was a Chinese guy intruding in.

I have few important job to update my sites before i announce the winners of the DentalBlogging contest. I know you all must be eagerly waiting for the contest to conclude but its just a matter of few more hours and  it will be a bang bang boom!

PS: I have seen few participants not validating the email feed, so please make sure you do it before the deadline to be eligible for the contest winnings, most importantly Chetan as you are the top commentator and eligible for a great prizes. Sorry if i called you openly but i really don’t want you to miss on this one.

Hard Luck PR Update!

Well, there’s not so good news at the front; had a server breach with many of my sites defaced by a Chinese hacker, then the PR update with few downgrades resulting in more anxiety and trauma.

A Chinese hacker managed to sneak in to one of my hostgator accounts through ftp injecting javascript malicious codes on all the files hosted, many of my blogs and directories were defaced although Hostgator provided me instant support blocking those IP’s and in cleaning up the malicious codes. I now have a huge task ahead to update the files and the scripts. Wish i had a magic wand to take care of all these things.

About the PR update, Google hasn’t been too impressed by DentalBlogging i feel giving it no PR in this update, i am confused of what and where did i left behind. Few of my other sites and directories were effected but to my surprise many of the parked domains received PR2.

Practising Dentistry? Do You Have a Website?

Once upon a time, patients would simply attend the dental surgery closest to them whenever they needed treatment. These days this happens less and less frequently. Patients demand the highest standard of treatment at reasonable prices and they are more than happy to shop around for it.

The Internet is a research tool, allowing people to find out all sorts of diverse information from the comfort of their home. Every industry is now embracing its potential, and there are many dentists doing the same thing.

Even a very basic website can carry a great deal of important information. Visitors to the website can see at a glance the location of your practice, directions on how to get there (and perhaps a map), opening times and contact details. Most practices allow contact via email as well as by phone, for patient convenience.
