ISLAM - Biggest Single Religious Denomination in the World
Dr. Teeth 30 March, 2008
(5) Comment
According to The Vatican sources published by Reuters, Islam has overtaken Roman Catholicism as the biggest single religious denomination in the world.
Monsignor Vittorio Formenti, who compiled the Vatican’s newly-released 2008 yearbook of statistics, said Muslims made up 19.2 percent of the world’s population and Catholics 17.4 percent.
“For the first time in history we are no longer at the top: the Muslims have overtaken us,” Formenti told Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano in an interview, saying the data referred to 2006.
He said that if all Christian groups were considered, including Orthodox churches, Anglicans and Protestants, then Christians made up 33 percent of the world’s population — or about 2 billion people.
The Vatican recently put the number of Catholics in the world at 1.13 billion people. It did not provide a figure for Muslims, generally estimated at around 1.3 billion.

Morning Sex Keeps You Hale and Hearty
Dr. Teeth 29 March, 2008
(4) Comment A steamy sex session in the morning can keep you in good health, say researchers.
According to a research from Queen’s University in Belfast, a good morning session at least three times a week, decreases the risk of heart attack or stroke by half and a regular session improves circulation, thereby reducing blood pressure.
According to a study in New Scientist, a steamy session twice a week enhances IgA, an antibody that provides protection against microbes that multiply in body secretions, reports The Sun.
Morning sex also helps in alleviating arthritis and migraine. It burns around 300 calories an hour that simultaneously diminishes the risk of developing diabetes.
Moreover, an American study involving 300 sexually active women whose partners did not use condoms revealed that they were less prone to depression.
Sex increases the production of testosterone that provides stronger bones and muscles thus helping to stave off osteoporosis.

Buying a new Car? Check this Swimming Car!
Dr. Teeth 29 March, 2008
(4) Comment
Three decades ago James Bond (then enacted by British star Roger Moore) wowed the world with a car that could ‘fly’ under water in the movie The Spy Who Loved Me. Only, it was animation and not an actual scene. But Frank M Rinderknecht, the 52-year-old automobile visionary and boss of Swiss automaker Rinspeed, has turned a dream into reality with his ’sQuba.’ Rinspeed sQuba is the most exciting thing at this year’s Geneva Motor Show and is creating many a ripple. It is the world’s first real submersible car that can ‘move like a fish underwater’ and dive up to 32.8 feet (10 mt) below the surface of the water and can move at a sedate 1.8 miles per hour.

Money Blog
Dr. Teeth 29 March, 2008
(4) Comment Let me suggest you few money making tips i learnt in the past few days as a blogger. I pass on few credits to my brother and fellow blogger from Germany, Alem.
Money doesn’t flow easily as far as blogging is concerned, you need to work hard, work consistently and have some patience.
Let me warn you, once you get your blog rolling you aren’t looking behind. So, have your stay around and keep blogging.
1. Get Sponsors for your Blog
Once your blog starts getting traffic, try and contact private companies that are operating in your niche area and get them to sponsor your blog. Even if its for a small amount, it adds up to your blog earnings. Gradually, when your blog ranks higher on the search engines, there are chances of getting better and high-paying sponsors. Try and provide all the details about your blog like traffic stats, search engine rankings, specialization area, unique visitors and keyword popularity. Also mention how your blog will help them in promoting their brand products. Do not get disheartened if you fail to get sponsors for the first time. Keep trying and make targets for yourself.

Beginners Guide to Web Hosting
Dr. Teeth 24 March, 2008
(4) Comment Web hosting might be an alien term for many and for others; it can be another everyday word. For beginners, Web host can be defined as a company that manages various computer servers and Web Hosting is used as a function in which the disk space on the computer/server is leased out so that you can store all those files of your website.
In short, it means that there is a computer in the data center on which your website’s files are stored and this computer will display the web pages to the visitors. If you want to create your website, web hosting is inevitable in such case.
While choosing a web host, you need to check out various specifications. This article would be your perfect guide to web hosting. The features of the package differ accordingly with the pricing. Two most important features are the amount of the disk space offered and the bandwidth limit. More disk space enables you to store larger files of your website. And in most of the cases the company permits you to host unlimited number of websites on a single web hosting account.

Internet Addiction Can Make You Sick
Dr. Teeth 24 March, 2008
(5) Comment This morning i was going through a news article on Rediff.com and was quite surprised. Its about internet addiction in the global arena. I can really sense myself into this lest i make some revival among my lifestyle or very soon i would land up in an addiction center, lol!
If you are an internet addict, it is high time you visit a psychiatrist.
Addiction to online gaming, e-mailing, chatting and viewing porn can lead to mental health problems and therefore should be officially recognised as a ‘clinical disorder’, according to a prominent American psychiatrist.
Dr Jerald Block from Oregon Health & Science University claims too many hours spent on internet can cause a compulsive-impulsive disorder.
“The addicts exhaust emotions that they could experience in the real world on the computer through any number of mechanisms: emailing, gaming, porn,” Dr Block said.

Who created Akismet?
Dr. Teeth 24 March, 2008
(3) Comment Well the question here is, why was Akismet created?
According to wiki: Akismet is a spam filtering service
Even i was enthralled before activating the plugin but as soon i make it live on this blog, there comes the flock of spam. I was literally shaken by the number of spam comments, would you believe: 528 spam comments under 5 minutes
My goodness, i feel spam loves Akismet now and in order to keep away from spam we got to keep away from Akismet. Its been just 10 minutes or so i installed Akismet and here i am, flushing out my spammy nerves. I would wait for a day and check out, rather than uninstalling right now.
I wanted to post a screenshot of the spam comments, but that would be very disgusting to see al those viagra, enlargement, cheap software kinda comments. Anyways, you all would have come across this typpa situation, do suggest what should my next move be!

The Dentist-Patient Relationship II
Dr. Teeth 24 March, 2008
(4) Comment 13. How can the dentist help the patient to relate more information or to talk about a certain issue in greater depth?
A communication technique called facilitation by reflection is helpful. One simply repeats the last word or phrase that was spoken in a questioning tone of voice. Thus when a patient says, “I am petrified of dentists,” the dentist responds,
“Petrified of dentists?” The patient usually elaborates. The goal is to go from generalization to the specific fear to the origin of the fear. The process is therapeutic and allows fears to be reduced or diminished as patients gain insight into their feelings.
14. How should one construct suggestions that help patients to alter their behavior or that influence the outcome of a command?

The Dentist-Patient Relationship
Dr. Teeth 24 March, 2008
(2) Comment After you seat the patient, a 42-year-old woman, she turns to you and says glibly, “Doctor, I don’t like dentists.” How should you respond?
Tip: The patient presents with a gross generalization. Distortions and deletions of information need to be explored. Not liking you, the dentist, whom she has never met before, is not a clear representation of what she is trying to say. Start the interview with questioning surprise in your voice as you cause her to reflect by repeating her phrasing, “You don’t like dentists?,” with the expectation that she will elaborate. Probably she has had a bad experience, and by proceeding from the generalization to the specific, communication will advance. It is important to do active listening and to allow the patient who is somewhat belligerent to ventilate her thoughts and feelings. You thereby show that you are different perhaps from a previous dentist who may not have developed listening skills and left the patient with a negative view of all dentists. The goals are to enhance communication, to develop trust and rap port, and to start a new chapter in the patient’s dental experience.

New Hyderabad Airport Starts Operations
Dr. Teeth 23 March, 2008
(3) Comment
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad has started functioning. We need to keep pace with International standards in our airports. The newly built Beijing Airport is a role model for every country to emulate. The newly built Beijing Airport is the latest wonder in airports in the world. What is astonishing is that this marvel has been built in the world’s most populated developing country! Almost 50,000 workers toiled round the clock in 8-hour shifts and built the colossal $3.75-billion terminal in only four years. China wanted the airport to be ready before August 8, when the Beijing Olympic Games begin. The new terminal will have a capacity of 75 million passengers a year. It features an extremely high-tech passenger baggage system — on 50 km of conveyor belts — that can handle 19,800 bags per hour. The size of the new Beijing airport can be gauged from the fact that it boasts of 64 restaurants, 80 retail stores, 175 escalators, 173 lifts, 437 revelators or moving footpaths, and 300 check-in counters.. The airport’s runway is capable of handling the world’s largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A380. The airport building has integrated environmental control systems to minimise energy consumption and carbon emissions

Oral Complications of HIV Infection
Dr. Teeth 23 March, 2008
(4) Comment Hairy leukoplakia is the most common oral lesion (20.4%) in HIV-infected patients. Candidiasis is the next most common lesion (5.8%).
Candidiasis
Oral candidiasis (thrush) often precedes the development of AIDS in HIV-seropositive individuals. The most common form of oral candidiasis is pseudomembranous candidiasis, appearing as white plaques on any oral mucosal surface, which may be as small as 1 to 2 mm or may be widespread. Lesions can be wiped off, leaving an erythematous or bleeding mucosal surface.
The erythematous form of candidiasis appears as smooth red patches on the hard or soft palate, buccal mucosa, or dorsal tongue. Angular cheilitis due to Candida infection produces erythema, cracks, and fissures at the corner of the mouth.
Diagnosis of oral candidiasis is by potassium hydroxide preparation of a smear from the lesion.

Here i provide you five basic yet essential features of web hosting which are to be considered before buying a package:
The first and the foremost feature you should check out is online support.
